Rotations into defensives? No. Running for the exit? Not even. Risk appetite was in play today and suggests the second half of the year could have challenges (commercial real estate and regional banks) but the strength in financials and healthcare were important to note as the first half of the year is in the books.
TSLA started the year on a Voodoo fireline and after six months of trade it’s again right on a Voodoo fireline. The current level is just 155 points higher than six months ago. Will the back half of the year be the same? We still need a few more clues, but the way it navigates the important level at 263.73 will be the next big clue.
Tomorrow brings the final trading day of the quarter and there is one big theme for the day in SPX. Let’s look at that and a second market I’m keeping a distant eye on.
