  • What is Raghee Horner’s core trading setup?
  • Which trading platforms does Raghee use?
  • What does Raghee check the economic calendar for?

Raghee’s chart setup has everything she needs to effectively trade futures and forex products. She likes to keep it simple and easy. Check out the tools she uses to trade the markets.

Her core setup includes:

  • TradeStation Workspace
    • 13 and 21 EMAs on the close
    • The 34 EMA on the high the low and the close (green blue red lines – also known as the 34 EMA waves)
    • 20 and 200 SMAs on the close
    • 55 and 89 EMAs on the close
    • A 20 period CCI
    • 12/26/9 MACD Histogram
    • 21/1/3 Slow Stochastic
  • TradeStation Correlations Grid
    • Same as above
  • com Workspace
  • Price Movement Ranges

Platform: Raghee uses both TradeStation and TradingView.com regularly, and she notes that she uses TradingView.com specifically for trading on her iPad or iPhone.

How She Plans:

As a futures and forex trader, she keeps an eye on the economic calendar for volatility events and overnight ranges. She stays on top of the global Macro narrative, central banks, then the market trends. It’s pretty basic and simple. Not too time-consuming as long as you keep up with it!

TradeStation Daily Chart

This TradeStation grid allows Raghee to look at one security in detail. A daily chart is a great reference for her swing-based plays.

TradeStation Correlations Comparison Grid

Raghee keeps her important pairs from her watch list in her TradeStation grid, on multiple time frame charts to watch correlations play out.

Price Movement Ranges

Raghee’s Price Movement Ranges are very important in determining risk in her work. She defines her risk based on volatility, the number of contracts, and the time frame. The risk per time frame varies per price movement range. She always uses this chart to quantify and limit the risk she has on hand.

EURUSD Price Movement Range

Here is an example of a EURUSD Price Movement Range on a daily time frame. This tells Raghee how much this pair is capable of moving each day.

E-mini Price Movement Range per Hour

This PMR tells Raghee how much the ES is capable of moving each hour of the day in points.
